Fixings MethodsBrass Locator Fixings Brass locator fixings are a two part fixing system, made up of a nut and bolt process, the bolt is soldered onto the back of the letters and the nut part of the fixing is screwed onto the panel or wall, these fixings also permit the removal of signs for maintenance or servicing. Locators are available in brass or nickel plated brass for a superior strength and longevity . The fixings raise the letters approx 10/15mm away from the wall/fascia. Threaded Rod Fixings Rod fixings are made from a 4mm dia threaded stainless steel. Threaded rod fixings are fixed to the back of the letters to give a concealed fixing, they are used for fixing onto brick or concrete, they can be used for flush fixing onto walls or raised off the wall by with spacers. VHB Tape VHB tape(very high bond tape), a double sided adhesive tape applied to the back of lettering where the cut out metal letters are fixed flush to a fascia panel or if they are too small for metal fixings then VHB tape is used. Predrilled and Countersunk. Pre-drilled and counter sunk, holes are drilled into the face of the lettering and a recess is also drilled into the face to allow for the use of vandal resistant stainless steel screws. This process is used where the lettering is fixed flat onto a wall in a vulnerable location. |
